1st October 2014 – Beachborough Colts A v Maidwell Hall Colts A (HOME)
Selected for Outside Centre for the school Colts A team for what proved a very hard fought match against a very strong, fast and powerful Maidwell Hall. Reading their website their Colts A had won 4 out of 5 matches but very large points gap, so we knew it was going to be a hard match.
After a breakaway try by Maidwell, HT was 0:7, with our team being overpowered in the rucks and mauls. Half time let us re-group and after a Mr Clarke team talk we were up for the second half.
However this started poorly with another breakaway try but they failed to convert.
We then started to battle back with some flowing rugby and also starting to have more power in the scrums, rucks and mauls and we managed to score two converted tries and won the match 14:12 !
Found out on the Friday, for the second week running I was awarded Player of the Match ! Very proud ! Bring on Ashford School next week !!
Also very proud to find out that Mr Usher and Mr Clarke had chosen me to be one of 5 chosen to represent Beachborough Year 6 at the “Talented Rugby Day” at Magdalen College School on Monday 6th with Mr Grant Seely (Head of Rugby at Magdalen and ex Academy Coach at Northampton Saints)
29th September 2014 – BISS British Independent Schools Ski Race
After winning last years U10 BISS (and finishing 8th overall U14,U12&U10) I wanted to show my new school that I could perform at first year U12 level. What was really encouraging after a hard indoor season, is that I managed to come 3rd overall (U14,U12&U10) and a great result behind an on-fire Joseph, to finish 2nd in U12 ! (also finished with nearly a 1second difference to the nearest 2004 U12).
Great to have a really fast run 2 !
The individual results can be found here.
As a team of 1 from Beachborough, I was never in with a shout in the team event, but still managed to finish joint 11th out of 24 mixed prep school teams !
Big thanks to BISS, Impulse and the Hemel/Ersa guys for organising.

28th September 2014 – ERSA Ski Championships 2014
27th September 2014 – BARSC Indoor Championships 2014
“Not a great day at the office, was it!” were my words to my Dad !
After a very early start to get to Chill Factore in Manchester, I had two mediocre runs which left me in 6th place.
So, learn from it, move on !

24th September 2014 – Beachborough Colts A v Christ Church Cathedral School, Colts A, Oxford
Must have shown enough skill and commitment in last weeks win against Broughton Manor Colts, to earn a place in the Colts A again, this time at inside centre.
First away match for me at Beachborough, against Christ Church Cathedral School in the centre of Oxford.
We won 19:7 in what was a hard fought match, and I had a try disallowed (not so sure the ref got the decision right, but hey thats rugby).
What put the icing on the (gluten free cake) was I was awarded Player of the Match on my second game.
20th September 2014 – BRPC Strength & Conditioning Training
Started my programme of ski related strength & conditioning with Ben Reid today at his new BRPC Gym.
Great session with learning the fundamentals of good warm up and warm down session, together with ski related reps and balance.
Great training, can’t wait for next session, thanks Ben of Ben Reid Performance Coaching, website here and Facebook here.
