21st October 2020 – Training with Excel in Tux (7 years after 1st GS training at Tux)

Another amazing day with more GS training, thanks guys.

Amazing to think only 7 years ago today (in 2013) I was on the same slopes on my very first GS skis and runs. Thanks back then to Glen and Gravity Snowsports – who would know that would be back and loving it even more than in 2013 !

4th April 2015 – 3rd April 2015 – Training Week With Gravity at Hintertux – Day 7

My last day, and being on crutches means no skiing with Glen on the final morning. 😦

But massive thank you to Helene, Byron and Spencer for taking me Ribs and Banana Split shopping (that really cheered me up).

A even bigger thanks to Helene for looking after me all week.

Late night flight back to Gatwick with Glen, again thanks Glen for looking after me. (He did really well pushing all his and my luggage, our two sets of skis and me in a wheelchair around Munich airport and then back in Gatwick).

3rd April 2015 – Training Week With Gravity at Hintertux – Day 6

What started a great day turned into a nightmare.

Hintertux last day

Whilst skiing in powder I hit some really deep powder and went over the tips of my slalom skis and landed with a twisted knee.

Glen and a passing German paramedic came to my rescue.  So have to be stretchered down on the front bucket of a piste basher then ambulance to see the same Doctor who saw me at the beginning of the week with my infected ear.IMG_0257

After x-rays and test and a revisit to the Doctors the next day after the swelling had gone down a bit, they think, luckily, that I have only stretched my Medial Collateral Ligament.  So means rest, elevation, ice, etc for a few weeks.

So it also means my I can’t spend a 2nd week in Austria with Ambition on a taster week.  Also means my parents have a sort out getting me home a week earlier. IMG_1653 IMG_1649 IMG_1650

Hotel has been great, and they have accommodated my Gluten allergy brillianty, as the food has been amazing.

18th February 2015 – Gravity Training Camp, Schladming – Day 4

Another amazing day, great weather and snow conditions.

GS skis again, and really getting used to them. Feedback from Coach Matt was really great (“jaw dropping for first runs in the morning, great shape, hip near to snow”). Obviously loads to work on after afternoon runs !!!

Too busy for pictures today, so pinched one from Glen from lunch.

Great to see Mum and Dad waiting to see me at hotel when we arrived back, even though they are staying in hotel across town, not seen them for last 24 hours.

Dad sent me pic of Mum’s amazing fall, (she blamed Dad’s ski prep).

Great news from the English Champs in Bormio with Glesni taking 1st place in the U12 Girls Combi Race today. Well done Glesni.
