Another early first on the slopes again at Snozone.

More drills to perfect the body position and technique !

Moved onto slalom brushes ! It felt amazing to be back in the slalom gates again ! Missed it so much.

Working hard to get back on to full gates.

Thank you Ben Reid at Ben Reid Performance Coaching and Snozone !

2nd January 2017 – Rehabilitation Day 280

Back on snow (Snozone MK) in 2017.  Early start, to grab the great snow conditions.  Lots of drills to build up the muscles and perfect the basic techniques.

Missing all my Team Evolution (and SMK) team mates who are all out in France and Austria.

Good look to all who are racing at the Anglo-Scottish, Ambition Champs and the Team Evolution Speed Races.

3rd December 2016 – Revolution Cycling Champions League Finals @ Velodrome

Had great day with Alex, Sue and Paul at the London Velodrome watching the Saturday afternoon session of the Revolution Cycling Champions League Finals.

JLT Condor won the Revolution Cycling Champions League in a close battle with Team PedalSure on Saturday evening at the Lee Valley Velodpark in London.

Ed Clancy and Jon Mould fought hard across two rounds of racing, one in Manchester the previous weekend, where they put in a dominant performance to lead the championship going into the final in London. http://www.cyclingrevolution.com/champions-league/news/2016/jlt-condor-win-the-revolution-champions-league

16th November 2016 – Rehabilitation Day 233 – BACK ON SNOW!!!

So back on the 28th March 2016 I had a massive tumble in Tignes and ended the day in surgery.  It’s been a long hard 233 days of no-sport, rehabilitation in the gym with BRPC, examination and testing with Elite Physical Medicine, and massive frustration but always trying to smile.

So today I was allowed to Ski again.  Ben put me through my paces with very easy set of drills to test out my knee.  All the tests went well, so its the start of a slow and steady build-up of drills over the next few weeks !

Thank you to all that have helped me get to this stage, the Doctors at Bourge St Maurice and Stoke Mandeville, Team Evolution (Lesley for looking after me at hospital and Paul and Alex), all the Evo Parents and Athletes, Paul and Gus at Elite, Ben at Ben Reid Performance Coaching, all the staff and my school mates at Beachborough School for putting up with my non-sport frustrations, SSE Alpine Squad Management for having faith & confidence in me and giving me time to rehab, Snozone for the early piste time and lastly my family for keeping my spirits up and helping keep the drive going !

Z Man will be back !
