So after a week of ski training and weekend of racing it was time to drive down to Paris to meet the rest of my Year VII classmates for a week French trip around Paris.
Can’t leave my skis in the car, so end up nearly sleeping with my Nordica’s !
What a great week and weekend of races.

With points counting from all age groups from 1st to 5th place, the final country trophy results where :
3rd GBR, 2nd Belgium and 1st The Netherlands.

Sunday brought the second race of the Lowland Championship weekend. Excited by Saturday’s podium I was on a high to try to match my great result.
Run 1 I was placed in 4th, with Team Evolution athlete Lucas in 5th and SMK athlete Kayne in 6th. Again all to play for.
Another solid run, moved me into another amazing 3rd place. 
After a great SnowWorld Cup result, time to ski prep and to stop Paul pinching my medal !
Saturday’s race in the Lowland Championships was the SnowWorld Cup. With a strong Dutch, Belgium, Luxembourg and GBR field I was drawn a good bib number, Bib 11.
After a good Run 1 I was lying in 5th place.
So to move up to a podium place I had to be consistent as this weekend races where on different courses and combined times. In another change to UK races, all the run 1’s are completed then reset and run 2.
So it was outside back to ski prep ready for Run 2.
After a reasonable Run 2, I climbed from 5th to 3rd !!
Also well done to Eleanor of Team Evolution with 1st U14, and SMK Racers Amanda 1st Femal Senior and James 2nd Male Senior.

Off to one of my favourite indoor training centres ! SnowWorld in Landgraaf, The Netherlands. Indoor training for three days before the SnowWorld Cup and Lowland Champs at the weekend.
Hard three days of slalom and pro-slalom training, ski prep, fitness and School work every day. Great bunch of athletes training with Team Evolution.
Ben has decided that it is time to increase the intensity of the training sessions and work on endurance.
Great session this afternoon at Ben Reid Performance Centre.
Back in early May 15 I tore my Medial Collateral Ligament whilst ski training in Hintertux and I thought it had ruined my GBR Indoor Race Series chances.
With amazing work from Paul @Elite Physio & Ben Reid I was back on skis at GBR Race 1 & 2 some 6 weeks later. My problem for the series I was only allowed to ski these first two races back like easy training runs, so I finished just in the points.
Race 3 in Glasgow a few weeks later I finished joint 2nd, which was all part of the rehabilitation process.
So this weekend Races 4 & 5 I was hoping to pull some points back and move up the GBR leader board. So with two 3rd places I managed to finish in 3rd place in the series behind two great U12 racers Jack and Kayne. Congratulations to Jack and Kayne .
Looking back over the 5 months from being dragged off the piste in Hintertux in a piste basher’s bucket, weeks on crutches, hours of gym work with Ben Reid of Ben Reid Performance Coaching and skiing with Ben, Glen and Mark D at SMK, @NordicaUK and Add Evolution a 3rd Place is amazing !
Looking forward to the Winter season, hard training, the move to U14 and full gates and hopefully with lots of hard work in the gym, off piste exercise and on piste training, these podium places will be back next year indoors.
