Race Entries for U12/U10’s
This Saturday I am (apart from missing the FA Cup Final and GBR Indoor Race 2) joining in the Gravity Snowsports Boot Camp No. 1. Looks a tough day, and hopefully I can get through it
The day looks like this:
08:00 to 10:00 On Snow Skills Squad
10:00 to 10.30 Drinks Break
10.30 to 12.30 On Snow Freestyle
Lunch Break
13.45 to 15.45 Fitness Training
“We will be running a monthly comprehensive training day for our athletes. Our first camp is 11th May and a great opportunity for a fun and productive days training. Athletes can join coaches at 7.45am and picked up at 4pm. The day starts with the athletes joining our Skills Squad training session. This part of the day will be working on posture and standing strong on the skis throughout the turn. Later we will be working on foot speed and agility through a ‘Brush” course to test your skills.”

Great weekend away with Buckingham Rugby Union Football Club Under 9’s, at the Burnham On Sea Rugby Festival. Unfortunately, Bucks RFU play the transitional rules (no scums, line outs, rucks and mauls), and the festival (and most of the other Teams) play the full rules, so we lost all of our 5 matches. Our last match was when we started to click in the full rules, unfortunately it was againt the strongest team in the competition, but we did run them close.
But it was a great experience being on tour and a great start for our team to play the full rules next season.

Thanks to the coaches Tim, Richard, Jeremy, Stephen (Dad) and Liz (Mum) (Under 9 Manager) for the great season and organising the tour.
Some fun activities between the matches!

Hurray, missed a school day with it being Bank Holiday. Caught up with school work in the morning and a punishing (in the 23 deg C heat) fast bike sprint around Furzton Lake 3 times.
Tuesday night brings Ski MK Race Team Training, seems so long since I have been on my skis.
Looking forward to an overnight school trip on Thursday and Friday, leading into a Gravity Boot Camp. I am sure it will be a hard day of skiing and fitness training. (Missing the GBR Indoor Race 2 at Manchester to attend, but need to work on technique and fitness). Also missing the FA Cup Final, but have to sacrifice lots of things to get better on my skis !
Sunday is GBR Indoor Race 3 at Manchester, so keep an eye out on my blog for updates and details.
